FUTURE HEALTH-BENEFITS OPTIONS

Fitness benefits, without the guesswork.

Many people receive health savings or employer wellness funds. Some expenses can be covered, others cannot. Learn the difference before planning a fitness purchase.

Not available yet: Shape Me Up Now does not currently accept payments, HSA/FSA cards, benefits cards or reimbursement claims. We do not verify eligibility, issue medical-necessity letters, or submit insurance claims.

HSA AND HEALTH FSA

Usually restricted to qualified medical expenses

Fitness training or gym access for general wellness is generally not eligible. Narrow medical-purpose situations can be different; eligibility depends on the facts and applicable rules. Do not assume that a doctor's note alone guarantees reimbursement.

EMPLOYER LSA AND WELLNESS

A more direct fit for fitness

Some employers offer lifestyle spending accounts (LSAs) or separate wellness budgets that cover personal training, classes, memberships or equipment. Eligibility and spending rules are set by each employer or benefits administrator.

HRA AND OTHER PROGRAMS

Ask what your plan actually covers

Health reimbursement arrangements and plan-branded benefit cards differ widely. Medicare Advantage supplemental fitness benefits may require participating providers or specific programs. An insurance member ID card is not necessarily a payment card.

CARD ACCEPTANCE

A branded debit card may still decline

Even an otherwise eligible service can be declined if the merchant is not enabled for that spending program or the plan imposes network restrictions. We will only display accepted card types when our processor and merchant eligibility are verified.

BEFORE YOU BOOK ANYWHERE

Four questions to ask your benefit provider.

Checking directly with the plan administrator may prevent a declined card or denied reimbursement.

  1. Does my plan cover personal training, fitness classes or memberships, and for which specific purpose?
  2. Can I pay by benefits card, or must I pay normally and submit an itemized receipt?
  3. Is the trainer or merchant required to join a network or have a specific merchant category?
  4. Do I need prior authorization, proof of participation, or clinician documentation?

OUR FUTURE CHECKOUT PRINCIPLE

Clear options instead of false promises.

When bookings launch, ordinary checkout and any approved benefits-payment or receipt workflow will be clearly separated. We will not label general fitness services as HSA/FSA eligible without verifying the relevant eligibility.

A SEPARATE FUTURE PROGRAM

Curious about referrals and points?

Our proposed loyalty program is separate from HSA/FSA payment eligibility. Earning points would never establish medical necessity or reimbursement eligibility.
